Unsecured

Unsecured: Debt obligation backed not by collateral but only by the integrity of the borrower. Opposite of secured. A claim or debt is unsecured if the creditor does not hold a consensual lien, or a judicial or statutory lien against a debtor's property to secure payment of the debt.
